Lulu Guinness started her business from the basement of her home in West London in 1989 after leaving a job in video production. Despite having little formal design training , but an amazing passion for fashion, The Lulu Guinness brand is now well known from London to New York to Tokyo.
Her collectable bags, described as 'tomorrow's treasure's,' are collected by museums including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Along with handbags , Lulu has launched footwear, fragrances, Bed Linen and umbrellas amongst her collections. In 2005 the Lulu Guinness Eyewear Collection was launched. "Eyewear is possibly the most personal item a woman can wear" she explains "nothing can change an appearance so dramatically as a stylish pair of spectacles or sunglasses".
