The evils in our make up bag!!!

So come on girls, how many of us have eyeliners that have been in our make up bags for a year or so? Research by the College of Optometrists has revealed that our bad beauty habits are risking the health of our eyes!

According to Optician magazine this week, 'one in four of us make up junkies continue to use bacteria ridden products that are over four years old!! and 25% of us women confessed to sharing eye make-up with friends and family even though 10% of us admit to having had conditions such as conjunctivitis. Women in their late 30's and early 40's had the oldest make-up bags and women in Wales were the worst culprits over all!!!'

Dr Susan Blakeney, optometric advisor to the College, said:' Mascara can be a breeding ground for bacteria, so it's not surprising that we've found nearly half of women suffer from itchy, watery and red eyes.'

So come on girls.. if ever there's been a good excuse to give your bag of tricks a makeover, this is IT!!...Doctors orders!!!
